The celebration for the premiere of the sixth season of Smallville is still going strong with only a couple of days until the premiere! And today I am celebrating the character of Lois Lane portrayed by the talented and beautiful Erica Durance.
Lois Lane (Erica Durance):
When Lois Lane was introduced in the premiere of season four, "Crusade", I found myself excited at the prospect of Lois Lane during this time of Clark Kent's life. I was curious how the character would fit into the storyline and into Clark's life. I am beyond happy of how the writers and the actress Erica Durance have portrayed Lois Lane and the relationship between Clark and Lois. Without further ado, I give you some of my favorite moments from my favorite episodes during the course of season four and season five. Enjoy!
Do you have any favorite Lois Lane moments that you would to share? Comments, pictures, theories for season six? Share you thoughts! :)

4x01 - "Crusade"

"Crusade" saw the introduction of Lois Lane. She stumbles on Clark Kent for the first time in the middle of a corn field & to her surprise, Clark is quite... naked.
"Clark has many sides." ~ Martha
"Yeah. I've seen several of them already." ~ Lois
The snark between both Lois and Clark during this episode is entertaining and perfect. With Clark unable to remember where he is or who he is, Lois takes him to the hospital...

and she's get a tiny taste of what Clark is really made of.

Now the reason for Lois' arrival in Smallville is to find out what happened to her cousin Chloe, who was presumed dead in an explosion. The last scenes of this episode show the talented abilities Erica Durance possesses in the heart-breaking talk with her 'dead' cousin.
4x02 - "Gone"

The episode "Gone" focuses on finding out what really happened to Lois' cousin Chloe. During this episode we get to see Lois' many talents, which includes kicking some butt!

And boy did she kick some butt! ;)

This episode also saw the famous bathroom scene where Lois makes herself at home while Clark's taking a shower... ;)
"We usually take turns in the bathroom!" ~ Clark
"Oh, don't start with me Smallville. You're the one taking the marathon shower. Besides, my delicate feminine sensabilities weren't offended the first time I got a glimpse of Clark. Jr." ~ Lois
4x03 - "Facade"

"Facade" has one of my favorite scenes of the fourth season. It's the last scene between Lois and Clark, you can't miss the foreshadowing of this! Not to mention the cuteness of Lois and Clark. ;)

4x08 - "Spell"

"Spell" wasn't one of my favorite episodes of the season but I find this scene completely funny! Erica has the best facial expressions! ;)

And how funny is this?

Doesn't she look hawt? And those eyes! I think Clark's met his match...
4x14 - "Krypto"

This episode had some of the best bantering between Lois and Clark. Not to mention the introduction of Shelby (aka Krypto), which Lois is allergic too.
"I have a weakness for stray dogs and naked guys." ~ Lois
4x16 - "Lucy"

"Lucy" is one of the first real backstory episodes for Lois and we get a taste of what her life has been like before her arrival in Smallville.

We get introduced to Lois' troublemaker sister Lucy and we get to see a different side to Lois and a more indepth look into the character. Do you think this will be the last time we see Lucy? Who knows... ;)
4x22 - "Commencement"

It's Clark's graduation day in "Commencement" and not to mention, the end of the world also. In this episode we see several sides of Lois... like panicky Lois.

And she can do ties too!

One of my all time favorite scenes was this scene with Lois observing the devastation of Smallville from the meteor shower.
5x04 - "Aqua"

Do you know that Erica Durance is actually afraid of the water?

It's about time Lois got some action! And what a hunk! AC saved Lois from drowning in the beginning of the episode and later, the attraction between them grew and grew...

Aw, another kiss!

One of my favorite scenes is this one with Clark and Lois at the end of "Aqua", it's very sweet.
5x06 - "Exposed"

Lois Lane goes undercover as a dancer to find out what really is going on at this stripclub.... but soon she finds out she's not the only one there...

So is Clark! And he is finding it a little awkward seeing Lois so exposed. ;)
5x21 - "Oracle"

Can Lois cook? Heh. I loved the whole rum cake joke in the episode. :)
5x22 - "Vessel"

"Vessel" finds Lois and Martha Kent in grave danger...

I wonder how Lois and Mrs. Kent are going to survive.... and what will the sixth hold for Lois Lane?

I looove that quote!
I didn't know she was afraid of the water! Aqua was one of my favourite eps--though I really wish that the guy they cast for the Aquaman series had been able to play Aqua in the SV ep. The guy they got was the worst actor ever--though great body. And Erica brought some lovely vulnerability to Lois in that ep.
I agree with you about Spell too--not my favourite ep, but Erica's midriff was worth it. Have you heard the commentary? I thought she was very funny about it. Apparently, they kept telling her to tone it down--I think she does comedy really well.

At the convention I went to she talked about Aqua and being afraid of the water, which I thought was interesting and she joked about having a few roles that involved water. I really loved the side of Lois we see in that episode, I like when we get to see the different sides of her. :)
I haven't watched the commentary yet! I so deff will check it out. :)

Date: 2006-09-27 03:42 am (UTC)I definitely recommend the commentary--it made the episode better for me to hear the girls giggling about it. Erica's cute about working with Tom too--they obviously get along really well. They all marvel at his bad-dancing, because apparently he actually dances well in RL! I find this reassuring.
